O2 MARKETING: REDBACK NETWORKS
Arghh Matey, 'Tis the Pirate's Life for Me!!

John Keating was contacted by Jontae James from O2 Marketing of Oakland, CA. He needed 227 pairs of board shorts branded and in his customers hands in under a week, but didn’t want the boring, old embroidery or silk-screened treatment.

Jontae had seen our labels and thought that the softer, flexible labels were perfect for the shorts. " I have been telling my customers that embroidery is a thing of the past, go with molds." Jontae remarked.

After seeing our samples the customer increased their order, adding 450 luggage tags. Our hard case luggage tags with PVC labeling are a quick fix for those "need it now!" customers.

Mary Henderson of Corporate Express Promotional Marketing in St.Louis, MO had a project she was developing for DODGE. She needed three shirts and jackets branded with woven labels, PVC labels and PVC zipper pulls for an SRT store. She contacted Gary Smith who was more than happy to help her.

Gary informed her that in addition to producing and applying the PVC labels and zip pulls, Flexsystems could also apply the woven labels. Mary was thrilled, as that greatly reduced her logistical problems.

She shipped us the blank shirts, jackets and woven labels. We applied all three items; the woven labels in the neck, the PVC labels to the shirt bottoms and jacket sleeves and the zip pulls on the jackets.

CO-BRANDING:
Using Two Types of Imprinting Techniques to Capture the Detail

Many times, distributors are faced with reproducing a corporate logo with small taglines that have to meet strict guidelines. Not to mention registered trademark and trademark symbols. This can be a problem when utilizing embroidery for wearables or embossing on items like leather padfolios.

Embroiderers seem to spend more time struggling to perfect small lettering than any other technique. The majority of embroidery jobs are either left-chest or cap runs, which are tougher to sew out in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

Embossing has similar limitations. Reproducing corporate taglines and pharmaceutical descriptors can often become difficult due to the size of the text.

Do your customers require tiny lettering and minuscule detail?
Are you tired of telling them that embroidery just can't do type that small?

Well, now you don’t have to!!
Keep that customer happy by capturing the detail with flexible 3D PVC labels from Flexsystems USA Inc.

Our pour-molded process can reproduce type as small as 2 pt. (.7056mm) and line weights as thin as .25 pt. (.0882 mm)

You can also use PVC labels to enhance the look of embroidery and embossing while still retaining the detail required for complex designs and taglines. The concept of combining imprinting techniques is known as co-branding.

For an example of co-branding, look at this shirt produced for Bushwacker. The detail needed for the 40th anniversary logo was far too small for embroidery to produce effectively. So by combining embroidery for the Bushwacker name and PVC labels for the 40th anniversary logo, a co-branded look was used. By co-branding, the distributor was able to maintain the detail required at the size desired by the customer.

Another example of the co-branded concept is this leather portfolio for Johnson & Johnson. Although the Johnson & Johnson Olympic logo could be embossed without loss of integrity, the tagline for the Ethicon logo needed to be produced in pour-molded PVC to capture the small Johnson & Johnson logo and text.

Although the Johnson & Johnson Olympic logo could be embossed without loss of integrity, the tagline for the Ethicon logo needed to be produced in pour-molded PVC to capture the small Johnson & Johnson logo and text.

Our labels are easy to sew and embroider - no special equipment required!!
We can ship the labels to your embroiderer or sewing contractor or you can send the items to us and we will apply them. In the event that sewing is not an option, our labels can also be heat sealed utilizing heat transfer film!

JACK NADEL:
D'ARENBERG LAUGHING MAGPIE
Branded Totes, The New Trend for Vineyards and Wine Makers

“WINE making is really quite a simple business,” Baroness Philippine de Rothschild likes to tell visitors to her château near Bordeaux. “Only the first 200 years are difficult.”

European wine makers believe in tradition and regulation. New-world producers are keener on technology, innovation and consumer research.
The new-world approach is winning out.

Capitalizing on that “new-world” approach, McLaren Vale winery, makers of D’Arenberg Laughing Magpie contacted David Falato of Jack Nadel in Palo Alto, CA. They were looking for a new way to brand some wine totes and David thought that Flexsystems’ 3D PVC labels were the perfect match.

As you can see in the photos to the right, our process can capture the detail that embroidery cannot. In addition, our PVC labels gave the tote bags a more finished, retail look than silkcreening. Combine that with our expert decoration services and record setting turntimes, and the choice is obvious. The next time you have a client that needs a “new” look for their products, give Flexsystems a call. We can make the labels, decorate the products and handle the shipping.

FLEXSYSTEMS and
THE FLYING LOGO SISTERS:
Your Customers Are Our Top Priority!!

To err is human, but to forgive is Divine.

We admit it, we sometimes make mistakes. But at Flexsystems, your customers are our number one priority. An error was made in the size of the ADOBE patches we made for Michelle Hixson of The Flying
Logo Sisters. Unfortunately, no one caught the error until after the labels were made and shipped.

Michelle called and said the customer would not accept them and she would have to absorb the cost.

We agreed that we were equally responsible for the error, so we remade the parts at the correct size, free of charge.

Michelle then said "You guys are awesome for re-printing at no charge. I feel valued as your customer to receive such remarkable service, as well as your willingness to resolve this issue without any dispute. Great job"

STORM FORCE:

Matthew and everyone at Storm Force now have great looking shirts to showcase, not only their brand image, but their ability to convert problems into

JACK NADEL: ROLAND
One Setup, Many Uses!

One of the benefits of choosing Flexsystems is the ability to brand multiple items with the same tooling.

Mark Harper of Jack Nadel in Irvine, CA, capitalized on this notion and sent us 18 sets of Backpacks, Passport Wallets and Travel Pillow kits to be decorated for the ROLAND WORLD PRESS DAY in Japan. The art was sent, approved and tooling ordered on Friday, February 24th and by Tuesday the 28th, the kits were delivered.

Our unique, 3D, PVC rubberized labels were able to capture all the detail of the logo as well as be applied to the various substrates. In addition, by using the same label for all three items, he cut his setup fees by one third!!

Flexsystems and CorpLogoWare:

CORPLOGOWARE:

Olympic Gold !

CorpLogoWare wanted their Sports Marketing Division Identity on the staff uniforms the CorpLogoWare management team planned to wear at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. The patch needed to be flexible enough to work on woven outerwear, polar fleece and knit hats and scarves. They sent over the art and we sent a quote and art approval the same day.

CorpLogoWare is one of only two promotional product licensees
approved by the United States Olympic Committee to develop premium programs for U.S. Olympic team partners, sponsors and suppliers.

Seven days after the art was approved we shipped the labels and made the in-hands date. Another example of the Gold Medal service we provide at Flexsystems.

We were pleased to hear from Debbie Abergel of Jack Nadel in Culver City, CA. GEIGER: MEEKS JACKETS
Flexsystems vs. Embroidery!

Melissa Kassahn of Geiger needed to brand some painters jackets for MEEKS/Devoe Paint. Embroidery was unable to produce the smaller "Devoe Paint" logo at the size she wanted to use.

The customer loved the way the jackets turned out. The embroidery charge was $3.50 per jacket, net pricing. Flexsystems net pricing was $3.32 per jacket, and the customer is able to continue using the mold for future orders, which would lower the per piece price even more. The minimum size embroidery could achieve was 3.5" wide, our size was 3", although we could have gone smaller if the customer wanted.

Melissa can also use the mold to make keychains, magnets and stickers.

Tim shipped the bags and hats directly to our sewing facility while we manufactured the patches. A few days later, we delivered 3000 finished goods to the customer.

MEDALERT WATCH LABELS

After asking around, he was referred to Flexsystems by a satisfied customer who assured him that if anyone could do it, Flexsystems would.

He sent us the art and a couple of watches to do some R&D. After a little head scratching, we had the concept; a PVC sleeve that could be slid over the band.

Rogelio received approval of the art and sleeve concept from his client, and the rest is history.

JACK NADEL - LENOVO:
From Uh-oh! to Let's Go!!

May 1st, 2005:
Greg White was smart to contact Flexsystems! He had vendor info on file, and pulled it up for this perfect situation.

"Although I am not happy that Greg is in a bind. " John Keating stated, "I am happy we are the only company in the world that can solve this problem. "

Greg had 4500 portfolios manufactured to his specifications. He was able to have the labels sewn onto the locations during production in China.

The order was ready to ship when he got the bad news that the clients logo had changed. The stitched labels had to be removed, leaving frayed and torn threads on the portfolio. Greg was given the task of removing the sewn on rubber molded labels and figuring out a way to put the new company logos on the pad folios in a classy method that kept the beauty of the product and classy method of logo embellishment the client needed. Knowing the removal of the stitched labels would leave damaged nylon and holes where the old logo patches were sewn created a decorating dilemma. - What options did Greg have?

Option 1: Simply sew new labels on??
Answer:
NO - Wouldn't work. Impossible to get the sew foot of the sewing machine into the necessary locations.

Option 2: Embroidery??
Answer: NO - Wouldn't work. Frayed and damaged material from removing sewn label would still be visible and the location is impossible to hoop effectively.

Option 3: Silk-screen??
Answer: NO - This would only create a bigger mess and would make the classy padfolios look cheap.

Option 4: Flexsystems!
The only company in the world that can produce and heat seal 4500 labels onto the two locations, covering the damage AND meet the in-hands date of June 3rd.

UH OH!
