USA made PVC Medical Labels Solve Problems for Industry
PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 1, 2013 - FlexSystems has made a breakthrough in the medical industry. Their work with detailed pvc labels is helping bridge a barrier that was impassable before now.
“Unlike embroidered patches or embroidery, PVC labels are capable of producing small amounts of detail in a small area. To achieve the detail that our custom emblems can achieve, the embroidered patches and embroidery would have to be blown up 3-5 times the size of a rubber patch. And that is just not feasible most of the time.” explained Gracie Rutherford, a spokesperson for FlexSystems.
“Take LifePort Kidney Transporter emblem for example.”, Rutherford continue. “It not only has very small type, it also incorporated into its logo a difficult swirl and a four color graphic. This custom pvc label was to be sewn onto the cases that held the donated kidneys. We were able to use a new custom label process that we call a Hybrid 4CP/3D logo. We use a pvc label for the small type and put an area in the center where we drop in the 4CP or four color process label. This solved the customers design problem and they were able to brand their products.”
Other cases where FlexSystems used pvc labels to solve problems for medical companies is with the pharmaceutical companies. The name of the drug and the list of the ingredients is very intricate. FlexSystems manufacturers pvc labels which can hold a lot of detail. The other problem that these USA Made pvc labels assist with is the actual sewing of the label to garments. A single needle machine is all that is needed to sew them onto the left chest of a polo shirt, hats, bags, cases and more.
